Modernization of GAF100
We are modernizing GAF 100 for DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH. The focus of the modernization was on driving dynamics and environmental aspects as well as increasing user-friendliness.
New diesel engine
We modernize track maintenance vehicles for DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH at our factory premises in Kirchmöser. The focus of the modernization is on driving dynamics and environmental aspects, as well as increasing user-friendliness.
The approx. 25-year-old drive train of the GAF 100 was replaced with a current diesel engine of emission stage 5 with particulate filter exhaust aftertreatment and hydrostatic drive and the crane including radio remote control on the loading area was replaced.
Extensive modernization
The vehicles have also been fitted with a new cab with air conditioning to improve operating conditions and an additional door to the loading area. This enables hazard-free access to the loading area. Track area lighting (3 tube lights on each side of the vehicle) has also been installed to increase work safety.
Additional points such as refuelling on both sides, LED lighting and repainting rounded off the modernization programme.
The vehicles are now available to DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH for use in the maintenance, expansion and care of track infrastructure.
