Tradition

Originally a works of Deutsche Reichsbahn and Deutsche Bahn, since 2002 GBM Gleisbaumechanik Brandenburg/H. GmbH (GBM) belongs to the Spezialtechnik-Group Dresden.

For many years active in the field of vehicle construction (during the recent years especially rail vehicles for special use), today  the fields  maintenance/service and modernization/conversion have been and will be continuously extended in line with real market conditions.

Several generations of track working vehicles have been developed based on rail goods trucks and large numbers have been manufactured.

A new generation of catenary maintenance vehicles for high speed traffic was developed on behalf of Deutsche Bahn AG.

A measuring train that embodies the latest state of the art technology has been developed together with a well-known Dutch company.

Milling trains and grinding train modules which are particularly suitable for use in the underground railway field have been developed and built on behalf of the Austrian company Maschinenfabrik Liezen und Giesserei Ges.m.b.H. as well as of the German company Schweerbau GmbH & Co. KG.

Gleisbaumechanik is a recognized partner far beyond the borders of Europe.
